Bleh. Went to see Beowulf today, missed three periods. It wasn't bad, though the majority of the three hours missed was during the bus ride. XD Jasmine, Kimberly, and I were sharing a seat on the bus, and oh my god. It was so squished. Especially with all of the stuff we had to lug around, the seat was so terrible to be in. But we made the most of it, the three of us were drawing together (Jasmine and I had big-ass sketchbooks, har) and Jasmine and I went down the whole list of the RENT soundtrack on the way to the Kravis Center. Ahaha, it was so fun.
The play was... interesting, to say the least. We were all crammed into this small room, unlike the 6th grade trip we took to see a different play being put on at the Kravis center. Now that was the real deal, we were in this HUGE auditorium and we were sitting in the raised theatre seats surrounding the centre stage. Now that was fun, even if the play was pretty dull. Beowulf was... weird, but I liked it. They didn't have much props except for this big wooden stand thing in the centre of the stage, a set of wind instruments and percussions, and a few pieces of cloth and net. But it was fun to see how they acted out the characters with only four people and the limited props that they had on stage.
I really want to go see a musical, though. I'm kinda turned off by the RENT musical now, since the original set of actors are the only ones for me. And by that, I mean the movie cast. Screw Mimi and Joanne from the first performance of the musical, the ones in the movie are awesome. What I really need to watch is Moulin Rouge right now (go Legends/Feedee crack HS RP for turning me on to the 2001 film!), and possibly the RENT movie again. MM.
While I'm on the topic of musicals, my school's putting on another musical this year (as we do every year), and one of the options is High School Musical. Eeh. It's not that great, but bearable, I guess. I'm going for the part of Sharpay if we do choose to perform that one, most definately. But Jasmine told me that Into The Woods is based on LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD AHHHHHH. I am so gay for Red and Alice. <3 M' two favorite characters from the childhood tales. Kimberly wanted to do Mulan for the musical.. Is there even a musical adaption for that movie? Jasmine and I were fighting over who would be Mulan in the musical (I WOULD WIN LOL), and Kimberly goes. "OH I KNOW WHO SHOULD BE MULAN. ME."
And I go, "STFU KIMBERLY YOU'RE NOT EVEN CHINESE. *SLAP*"
Jamsine's not Chinese either. =[ She came here when she was like, 6 months old. Fag. And she was adopted.
Oh well. I'm totally going for Red if we do Into The Woods. And Sharpay if we do High School Musical. Aladdin's also an option, but I have no one I want to go for in that musical. And the casting is majority guys, which we don't have much of in our choir. Haha, suck. Ahhhh, I'd LOVE to do something that's a little less childish than the choices we have right now like Miss Saigon or the school adaptation of RENT OR Phantom of the Opera, but it's not going to run well with the school board. So INTO THE WOODS IT IS. Now that I've looked it up on Wikipedia? AHH. I'm totally voting for that. I'll be heartbroken if it doesn't get picked. *total fairy tale junkie*
Uh... I don't know. I don't want to do anything Disney, that's all I can say.
But I've gotten off topic. The play was nice, makes you use your imagination. The bus ride back was just a bunch of yelling, and then we ate lunch and went off to the last two classes of the day.
Carlos Mencia is coming to Ft. Lauderdale! (And Clearwater, but those tickets are already sold out ;_;!!) I'm going to beg my dad to take me. I LOVE that guy. I want to go see Demetri Martin too, since I watched his first webisode on the Clearification site and it was pretty darn funny. I don't know, though, I've been a huge fan of Carlos Mencia since around two years ago so I definately have to try and go see his show in Ft. Lauderdale if I can. The tickets are expensive though, $48+ a person. I might have to give up a present for this holiday season to go watch, but I DON'T CARE. (I get to choose what I get for each holiday, though I only get one present) MUST SEE CARLOS. The day/time I want to go is November 17, at 7:00 PM. Which is on a Friday, so I just might be able to go. Yay!
Let's see. Continuing off from where I stopped writing last night, I've been doodling a lot of "hentai game" scenes lately. It's all I've been drawing for the past two days, actually. (LMAO) It's fun. I've been designing mini-games and loading screens and planning out scenes in my head... I think I've found my calling, ladies and gentlemen. Ahaha. No, really, I still want to build on that comic idea, but I have no ideas for one! So I guess I'll just be doing hentai game scenes for now until my muse comes back from her trip.

Or something. Probably little doodles, since I can't come up with ideas for any large-scale pictures that I really like. I want to do something in colored media though, like colored pencils or watercolor. If I could get my hand on some prismacolor markers, har har. No, I probably couldn't do anything even WITH prismacolors. Damn. This art blockage is really suck for me because I need to finish so many pictures for other people it's not even funny. Actually, my entire to-do list is filled up with pictures for other people, I can't come up with any ideas for a drawing for myself. Maybe it's cause I don't have any motivation to work, maybe it's cause I don't have any inspiration. Whatever it is, I'm feeling stuck in all areas of art right now. Writing, art, not so much as music.. but I'm feeling bogged down by stuff and I can't do anything that's good. In my eyes, at least.
Which stinks because I STILL NEED TO FINISH THAT UNCOMPLETED PLOT. I want to write the addition of my new character to the family, already~ But if I can't get anything out of my head for the next few days, I'm just going to leave everything alone for a bit and give overhauls to all of my character profiles, decorate journals, trivial stuff like that which is usually on the bottom of my to-do list. Sounds like a nice break from trying to do big, creative stuff all the time. Yeees. My brain is hurting from the stress anyway. I know I need to suck it up and drag my muses back by their hair, but I'm feeling so lazy! No motivation. The feeling sucks.
Um.. I also need to get Gaia HGTV started up by this month or next. Gotta figure out how exactly we're going to do the shows, and plan out the entire layout. Maybe design a few graphics for the thing, round up the people that've shown interest in this idea... Separate them into groups and set out on doing the pilot shows. It's going to be fun, but also very, very busy. Which is not fun.
There's just too much to do during the school year, but not enough time to do fun stuff or work on projects. Actually, school was the biggest motivator for getting me to write and draw last year, but this year? Naaah. I want my motivation back, damnit. Gotta start working and catching up like I said I would. I am trying to, but these obstacles keep getting in my way. Which is not fun.
There's just too much I want to do this year, y'know? Learn how to cook or bake (kinda), write a novel, draw a comic, compose a song, all of that and more crammed into 10 stupid months. I've got to round up my muses eventually.
And I've gotta cut this thing short soon, I have nothing real to ramble about except possibly the new fall anime that's coming up, which you've all probably heard about from other people. Useless!
God, please, someone whip me into shape. I really do want to finish everything, I just can't find the will to do it.
