I guess I'm feeling a bit better now. Venting to Neko and DS always helps me a little, even if they don't cheer me up completely like H.E. when I'm all depressed. Love you guys. <3

Anyway, to elaborate on my last entry.

This guy, name unmentioned on DA, requested a pic from me last month or so. I'm not going to say his name, but I guess you all could easily find him if you wanted to. (I could be a bitch and put his name here to go "WHOO GO ATTACK HIM NOW", but whatever. I'm not out to ruin anyone over something like this.)

Anyway, so he requested a picture from me a while ago. After giving me comments that weren't specific at all, like "I unno... something special... or something...", I finally get refs of his characters for me to draw. This took 17 comments, by the way.

So by that time I was a bit annoyed because it had taken me so long to even figure out what I was drawing for this guy. And then, a week later, he notes me with this:

Which is pretty absurd seeing as how I've seen artists that NEVER answer on these sketch memes and ones that take months and months to get the picture to the person. (Sorry, Shad and Emi! XD) This is a WEEK after he requested the pic. I apologized to a person before because it took me three days to finish her sketch, but I was/am pretty miffed at this person so I was holding out on doing his drawing. I noted him back with an apology (would have blown up at him, but I'm too nice) and left it alone for another few weeks. He didn't note me back.

And then, today, I dig out a sketchbook that I'm going to send to my secret santa, hoping to get some gift art done today. I never did get anything done, but that's another story. Then I remember the unfinished sketch meme and finally decide to get it over with, seeing as I've kept the poor guy waiting for two weeks, right? I drew his characters in Photoshop and noted it to him.

Even apologized for taking so long on the picture. All good, right? And then this afternoon, I see a note back. "He must be saying thanks!" I think, because everyone else who's taken one of my sketches said thanks to me even if it was horribly overdue (which I apologized for profusedly). And then I see this note in my inbox.



Yeah. Not even a thanks, after I went out of my way to draw his two characters which I wasn't even feeling up to drawing until this morning because I had already been so miffed at him from before. Not even a fucking thanks. I was pretty darn pissed off at that moment, but I didn't tell him off for it. Just closed the note window. (Vented to DS and Neko about it, thanks for being such a good sport, guys <3) I posted a journal on my DA saying that I quit the sketch meme after this, because the guy pissed me off so badly.

"I don't think I'll do any more sketch request memes after this. Sorry.

If I know you well though, feel free to ask me for a pic. I'm always happy to draw for friends. <3

Fine. Short, sweet, and to the point. The guy watches me on DA as well, so I was also hoping that he would see it and take the notice that I wasn't quite too happy with him and his notes at the moment. I don't think he got the hint. After I posted the journal, he commented on it with this:

"Hey, since you didi one for me, I gotsta do one for you!!>< Nameit, and I'll draw it. Now that I have a scanner I can use, THE WORLD ISMINE!!!!!!>:D"

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he didn't take the hint. Thanks. Replied with this:

"I don't really care. If you want to, then draw Mayu and Demare. [link]

I think your note was really uncalled for, though. :\ You don't request a picture from a person and then note them a week later going "IS IT DONE!!?", and then when it's finally finished go "oh thanks sorry but i'll draw my own". There are some artists that take the sketch requests then never finish them. At least I actually did thepicture instead of just leaving you hanging, even if it is a bit overdue. Think about that, because I could have been spending my time taking commissions for stuff instead of giving away free art."

I'm waiting for a reply back now. It was hard to even post that, because I'm not used to confronting people at all now. Sometimes I wish I could go back to the good ol' days in elementary school when I was all "im calling you out bitch!!" and didn't give a damn about how other people felt. But then I feel guilty about that. I think I'm a much more pleasant person now, but I'm too afraid to confront people anymore because I'm afraid that I'll either hurt someone else's feelings or get my own hurt. Meh. If he still doesn't take the hint, though, or if he replies back with a pissy comment about how I'm overreacting to this? Yeah. I think I'm going to bitch him out.

Anyway, Yishui just left about half an hour ago. We had dinner together and watched TV. That is all. :D I think I'm going over to her house next week. Hopefully.

:( Red Bull.

I bought another can today on impulse at Target and this time I am determined to get the entire can down (I dumped out over 1/2 of my first can). Because it cost $2 a can. One.

Uh.. we went to the Chinese food store today. I got pocky (as usual), caplico sticks, and RAMUNE! :D Wikipedia lies, it doesn't taste like generic lemon-lime soda at all. It tastes a bit like Bawls, but with a bit of bubble gum flavor tossed in? It took me a while to figure out how to open the bottle, haha. I couldn't get the marble into the bottle, it was lodged into the opening.

Emi: I saw a Hello Kitty figurine at the store that was wearing a suit that looked suspiciously like Conan's blue one with the red bowtie. If I remember, I'll bring a camera next week and take a picture of it for you so you can see. :D It didn't have his glasses though, so it was probably just a coincidence.

Uh.. We also went to Super Target! They had Bawls. But I had to go for the Red Bull instead, stupid guilt trip. :( O well. I looked around the DVD and CD rack too, I didn't see the RENT soundtrack but they did have Memoirs of a Geisha ON SALE FOR $10. I WANTED IT. They also had Silent Hill, The Omen (DAMIEN = CUTEST LITTLE KID EVER??), and V for Vendetta. Target is great. <3

Um. We're going to the beach next week, I guess. I haven't been for at least a few months, so that'll be fun, if the weather is nice enough. I'm going to work on finishing my art obligations today, and also -maybe- starting on a new DJ layout. I don't know, I still love this Roxas one. Hmmm..

Yishui is apparently coming over for dinner tonight. That is all.

Wow. I haven't posted in two days.

It must be my new Gaia Puzzles addiction. Shit. I've done two 300-piecers and at least 10 70-piecers since I started playing yesterday. Keep in mind that it took me around 7 hours to do my first 300-piecer IRL. It took me around 2-3 hours on both the Gaia ones. Hmm.. am I getting better at jigsaws? Probably not.

Getting back into the RP groove with Therapy Not Included (DS) and the Halloween event.

I don't think I have much to write about, other than the fact that NaNo is starting in THREE DAYS. YES. I need to practice my typing skills some more. My word per minute count is sad. I guess I'll just have to play more Typer Shark on Popcap or something. Whoo!

I also got a new Breedable today, since a nice guy who I met at the shop caught the pg. 50 post and gave his free Floofi to me. Fear!



And I think that should be all. Can't wait for Halloween btw, free candy! I need to draw some form of Halloween pic to celebrate, but I don't know what. :(
