So you think
Might as well!
Dance a tango to hell,
At least I'll have tangoed at all.

God, I'm exhausted. I've been too lazy to update with any real entries, way too tired to do anything real right now.

School! For the past few days it's just been pretty boring, routine as usual. I did find out that I have a knack for yoga though, it's pretty fun. We've been doing yoga in gym for the last few days, and it's REALLY relaxing. It's fun for me, too, since I'm really flexible. Haha. I can do every pose except for the locust and the crow (no upper body strength, hah). We're doing it again next week, yay! It's really relaxing and gets the blood flowing. And we just get to lie there in the last 10 minutes of class. Whoo-hoo!

Nothing really eventful happens in school. Jasmine, Alek, Kimberly, Jeff, Jonathan, Roger, all the guys in my Geometry class, we just run around yelling at people. But that's pretty routine, too. Nothing exciting. Hmm..

All-state! OMG YES. We (my dad and I) drove up to CityPlace, and we went to McDonalds to grab a bite before we went there. Holy shit was the line long. Who knew that lines would be so long on a Saturday morning? I was wearing fancy clothing too, so people were all staring at me strangely while I was waiting in line. We finally got food a while after, and then drove all the way down (up?) to CityPlace. When we got there, we drove around for around 20 minutes before we found the place we were supposed to go to (Moyer building entrance, Dreyfoos School of the Arts). We went in, sat down, waited for around an hour.. I was cramming info in with everyone else there from PPMS. The written exam started pretty late because they had a delay of some sort.. I don't know. I think some of the judges went out to eat or something, or they had to get extra scantrons for some of the people. I wasn't really paying attention at that point.

The written test was hella easy. We had a listening part, where we had to jot down rhythms and pitches. And then there was a section with both rhythm and pitch, we had to see if any of the measures they gave us were different from the recording. And then they had this bit with minor and major chords (PFFT EASY) and intervals (PFFT EASY AGAIN). And then we just had another written part where we bubbled in answers.. Vocab, key signatures, time signatures, vocab and signs, that sort of stuff. It was pretty easy, and I got a 96% on it. Hell yeah.

The sight-singing part was hell. Not because it was hard, even though I totally choked on the last one.. Because we had to wait FOREVER to get in. I was 5th in line for my room, and we had to wait, what? 10 minutes for each person? It was a good thing I had my cell phone and some books on hand, I just read while I was waiting. And after I got bored of reading, I just started walking around and rolling on the walls. The first two exercises were easy, the last one.. hard. I winged the first few measures, then just died on the last few. My rhythm was all out of whack, and I had no idea what I was singing at all. But apparently I did exceptionally good (as my teacher told me on the phone), since I got 22 measures out of 24. How the hell did that happen, I have no idea.

So. 96% on the musicianship test and 22/24 on the sight-singing exam. I'm going on to the next part of the auditions, in a week or two. Eeee happy.

And now I feel like I'm going to barf, because of the KFC I ate earlier. I haven't had fast food in a while, so I guess my body's developed an intolerance for it. Something like that. Bah.

Going to a party later, details when I get back if I'm not feeling too lazy~
